This is interesting that a women is standing up for a man. I know it is not literal suicide, but this is a form of social suicide for Hillary. In class today we talked about honorable suicides, and taking the blame for the entire Democratic Party is an honorable thing. Because you cannot say that Hillary Clinton is directing and absolutely at blame for these four deaths.
Jeramie- what a great link! Amanda- I agree with you. The president is responsible for our country and Hillary Clinton is taking FULL responsibility in these four deaths. I am not a fan of Obama, so I think she should not take the heat only because the president is running for office again. This is definitely social suicide.
Social Suicide is a great phrase to use here. I completely agree with both of you guys. This makes Obama look weak and incapable of taking the heat for what happened.
Really makes you wonder what kind of pressure she was under to give her reputation up like this. Since Obama is up for reelection, I feel as if she was almost forced into accepting blame for it because they wanted to make the president look a little better. It almost is the complete opposite in these debates, not only tonight's, but the previous two, how he is taking credit for killing Bin Laden, when clearly he was not in uniform with the gun inside of the house where he was found. Since killing of Bin Laden is a positive event for America he wants to portray that he did it, however when it comes to something negative which will look bad in his campaign he doesn't want anything to do with it.
I am also starting to think that Hillary was not really doing this, but Bill Clinton was. I'm sure Bill was behind closed doors letting Hillary know that this would help Obama if she did this, keeping her spot as a Sec. of State safe. There is no doubt that this was a campaign move for the Democratic party.
I also came across a similar article called, "Hillary Clinton is not a doormat for Obama."
ReplyDeleteHere is the link:

Crazy stuff!
How did you get your link to be an actual link?
ReplyDeleteI went on the main page of the blog. I honestly just played around with it until I figured it out. Wish I could be more help.
